An innovative fail-safe rail turnout design developed by Loughborough University will be trialled on the London Underground in 2018, RSSB has announced. Ricardo Rail will head a consortium comprising Progress Rail, DEG Signal and MPEC Technology to install the first Repoint switch. See RSSB Website for more details.
DEG Signal will be responsible for the electrical control system design and with its partners S&T Cover will also build and test the control cabinet. The whole team is very excited to be part of this innovative project.
