Project: Beaulieu Park Station

A new station is proposed to serve the Springfield development and a wider catchment to the east of Chelmsford on the Liverpool Street to Norwich line. The existing down line will be re-aligned to accommodate new loops in both directions providing for four platforms. The loops will be approximately 1000 metres long with platform lengths of 250 metres.
DEG Signal Ltd was initially commissioned by Mayer Brown to undertake a feasibilty study and project costing as part of the housing development submission. Following acceptance of this proposal DEG Signal were asked to further develop the high level design works to achieve Approval In Principle from Network Rail.
When built this scheme will provide a sustainable means of access to this large housing development as well as providing additional capacity on the network.
