Next generation of railway traffic management systems

// Academia met industry on the 29th June at a RSSB event in London.

Doug Green attended the Future Traffic Regulation Optimisation (FuTRO) showcase, where he was brought up to speed on the work that numerous Universities had done. The event was hosted by IRSE’s outgoing Chairman, Francis How.

Doug comments: “A great event hosted by RSSB. We’re also delighted to hear the recent announcement of the partnership between the rail supply industry and a consortium of eight universities that has secured a £92 million investment. This aims to fund research with the objective of establishing the UK as a world-leading centre of railway excellence.”
