IRSE Minor Railways Section visit Kevin has also taken on the role of general editor for a series of Signalling Guidelines. These documents will provide information and guidance on signalling and telecommunications issues for Minor and Heritage railways. The information will be made freely available via the web. The section will also organise a number of visits each year to a minor or heritage railway. All visits will be open to IRSE members and non-members. The first will be to the Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railway and the South Devon Railway on the weekend of 26/27 September. Those interested in signalling will be given a tour by train of each railway’s signalling installations. There will be alternative arrangements of a cruise on the River Dart and return to Paignton by train (Saturday) and the Rare Breeds Farm at Buckfastleigh with a rail trip to Totnes (Sunday). Anyone who wishes to attend should register their interest and contact; The Institution of Railway Signal Engineers, Minor Railways Section, 31 Bainbridge Road, Loughborough, Leicestershire.
